Indian Independence Day Celebration (Canceled)

6th Annual Indian Independence Day Celebration in Jersey City
Join the Indian community for this celebration at Exchange Place on Aug 7th (5:00-8:30 pm)
There will be Indian dance performances featuring both children and adults and the singing of national songs.
Please come with your appetite as there will be many Indian food vendors on hand selling all your favorite foods from home.
The first 200 children will receive a tiny Indian flag to wave during the parade. An Indian band will lead the festivities as we parade around the area, waving our flags and celebrating Indian Independence. There will be a fancy dress show, and children are encouraged to dress up in Freedom Fighter’s costume or classic Indian dress. Following the parade, all these children will be invited to wave hello to the crowd.
