Yoga Fest in Jersey City

As you are aware, each year during the week of the summer solstice is International Yoga Day. Cities and studios around the world come together to celebrate the union of yoga. In many instances, a public event is held that incorporates 108 sun salutations in an outdoor venue. This year Jivamukti Yoga Jersey City has teamed up with HDSID (Historic Downtown Special Improvement District) to produce the first Yoga Fest Jersey City on Saturday June 23 (rain date Sunday June 24).

Jivamukti Yoga Jersey City is reaching out to all the yoga studios in Jersey City offering you an opportunity to participate in this event.

The event will begin at 7am on Saturday June 23 on Newark Avenue in the green pedestrian zone and finish at appx. 3pm in the afternoon. The tentative program is as follows:

Greeting and invocation
108 Sun Salutations
A one-hour Vinyasa Class
108 Japa Mantras
Meditation (15 min)
Closing remarks and blessings

This is a free public event. ******Please note you will need to bring a yoga mat, water, sunglasses, sunscreen and love.
